Antique sterling silver sugar sifter by HJ Lias Son of London, England, circa 1854. A fiddle pattern sugar sifter spoon featuring a pierced round bowl in an ornate design. Made by silversmiths Henry John Lias and son Henry John Lias of London, England. Measures approx 5 1/4" long, 1 13/16" diameter bowl. Weighs approx 37.1g, 23.8dwt Marked HL over HL (HJ Lias Son makers mark used c. 1849-1872) leopard (London city mark) lion (indicates sterling silver) T (1854 date mark) duty head Very nice condition, with some slight scratches and light tarnish. Will be packaged securely and shipped US Priority Mail with insurance. CL120324/17KCS
