An extraordinarily fine and rare antique American napkin ring.
In sterling silver.
In the form of a drum with a stippled, gilt finished body and silver tension ropes and clamps.
Together with its original felt-lined leather case.
Simply an amazingly rare find!

It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.
Condition Details:
The napkin ring is in remarkably well preserved condition. It has a monogram engraved to one tension rope clamp G.C.J. Otherwise, there are some very fine
light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
The original case is in overall fairly well preserved condition. There are some surface scuffs and scratches to the leather, some wear to the felt
velvet interior, and other signs of light wear consistent with age.

Engraved with initials G.C.J. to one tension clamp.
Marks:
Stamped to the interior with a partial Sterling mark / S / 185.
