A fine antique English electroplate charger.
By Elkington
Co.
Designed by Léonard Morel-Ladeuil for the 1876 Philadelphia Exhibition.
In the Neo-Grec manner with a stylized Pompeiian scene depicting a partially clothed woman with three attendants.
With engraved signatures to the front with both Elkington
Co., the artist's name Morel-Ladeuil, and "inv et fecit 1876". The reverse bears registry and copyright marks from multiple countries as well as the model number 15428.
All in all, an absolute tour de force in Design by Morel-Ladeuil and Elkington
Co.!

It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.
Condition Details:
With overpolishing and copper bleed to almost all of the high points, some edge wear, and some fine and light dings and indentations here
there. Otherwise, there are some fine
light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
