Cie. An 18ct Yellow Gold Keyless Lever Swiss Full Hunter Quarter Repeater C1880.
Dial: The lovely white enamel dial with Roman numeral outer minute track with subsidiary seconds dial at six o'clock. The dial is signed Euge Bornand
Cie Ste Croix with the serial number below. The original matching blued steel spade hands and matching seconds hand complementing the dial beautifully.
Case: The 18ct yellow gold case with the front cover engine having a garland surrounding a shield. The back cover is engine turned. The inner cover has a full description of the watch, stating that it is a repeater, wound by the pendant and having 31 rubies in the movement. The cases are Swiss Hallmarked and numbered.
Movement: The gilt metal fully signed movement, jewelled to the centre abor, with compensation balance, spiral Breguet hairspring, slow fast regulation and wolfs tooth winding. The gongs and hammers are visible striking the hours and quarters clearly.
Eugene Bornand was a fine watchmaker based in Sainte- Croix in the canton of Vaud. He produced many fine and complicated pocket watches in limited numbers. His watches are in various museums around the world. This is a rare pocket watch and it would make a fine addition to one's collection. We sell this watch with a one year guarantee.

Baume. A Swiss 18ct yellow gold, full hunter keyless lever minute repeater pocket watch, C1890s.
Dial: A perfect white enamel Roman numeral dial with outer minute track and subsidiary seconds dial with blued steel spade hands and blued steel seconds hand.
Case: The heavy Swiss hallmarked 18ct yellow Gold case with monogram to front cover and dated 23rd April 1900. The back cover is plain as is the inner cuvette. All cases are numbered and hallmarked. The push button to make the watch chime is to the side of the case.
Movement: The beautifully signed movement by Baume, which is fully jewelled has compensated balance and tourbillion style bridge which is a very unusual layout for a minute repeater. The highly polished fly wheel which is visible on the top plate together with the polished hammers to the side.
