Le Phare An 14ct Rose Gold Minute Repeater Calendar Chronograph Keyless Lever Full Hunter Pocket Watch C1890s.
Dial: The white enamel dial with Roman numerals outer minute track, the subsidiary date dial located at twelve o'clock. The phases of the moon are located at six o'clock together with the seconds dial. The day aperture is located at nine o'clock and the month aperture is located at three o'clock. The rose gold coloured Louis XVI style hands with blued steel centre second chronograph hand.
Case: The heavy 14ct rose gold full hunter case with plain front and back covers. The inner cover is engraved with the medals won at the Paris, Geneve and Chicago Exhibitions together with a full explanation of the movement and the makers name. The cases are all fully Swiss Hallmarked and numbered. The repeater button is located at the six o'clock position and the chronograph button is located at the two o' clock position
Movement: The beautiful fully jewelled Swiss keyless Lever movement with compensation balance, spiral Breguet overcoil hairspring with the chronograph mechanism exposed on the backplate. The hammers and gongs are fully visible chiming the hours, quarters and minutes clearly. The movement has a mineral glass covering aswell.
Le Phare were a Swiss brand based in Neauchatel who were renowned for making fine complicated pocket watches. This watch is an excellent example of a repeating calendar chronograph in super condition. This watch was most probably made for the British or American market as the days and months are in English. It would make an excellent acquisition for one's collection. We sell this watch with a one year guarantee.
