An exceptional Art Deco platinum and diamond pocket watch by Paul Ditisheim, founder of the prestigious Solvil manufacture, created during the golden age of high Swiss horology and exported for the elite American market through Depollier, New York.
The solid platinum case is lavishly adorned with a pavé-set diamond bezel, continuing seamlessly into a fully diamond-set platinum bow, an exceptionally rare and luxurious detail reserved for the finest bespoke commissions of the period. The watch is stamped “10% IRID. PLAT”, denoting a period-correct platinum–iridium alloy prized for its strength and durability.
