About the Item
Schwab Loeillet Geneva. An 18ct Gold Hunter Keyless Lever Minute Repeater Calendar Chronograph Pocket watch C1890.
Dial: The perfect white enamel dial with Arabic numerals outer minute track, the subsidiary date dial located at twelve o'clock. The phases of the moon are located at six o'clock together with the seconds dial. The day aperture is located at nine o'clock and the month aperture is located at three o'clock. The original blued steel spade hands with blued steel centre second chronograph hand.
Case: The heavy 18ct yellow gold full hunter case with a fancy monogram of AS to the front cover and plain back cover. The inner cover is engraved with the makers name, an explanation of the movement and Horologerie Garantie Geneve. The cases are all fully Swiss Hallmarked and numbered. The repeater button is located at the six o'clock position and the chronograph button is located at the two o' clock position.
Movement: The beautiful fully jewelled Swiss keyless Lever movement with compensation balance, spiral Breguet overcoil hairspring with slow fast regulation and the chronograph mechanism exposed on the backplate. The hammers and gongs are fully visible chiming the hours, quarters and minutes clearly.

Loeillet were a watch company based in Geneva. These two watchmakers, were established at the end of the 19th century, in the Eaux-Vives, in Geneva before setting up in rue du Mont-Blanc, 22. They registered the trademark Loeillet Watch on October 1, 1915, under the No. 37339. They were also specialized in watches for the freemasonry, creating 8-day reserve, triangular or round, silver, nickel and gold watches with classical movements containing 15 or 17 jewels. This is a fine example of Swiss craftsmanship. It would make a fine addition to one's collection. We sell this watch with a one year guarantee and our own certificate of authenticity.

A heavy English minute repeater chronograph 18ct yellow gold keyless lever full hunter pocket watch, C1898.
Dial: The white enamel with Roman numerals, outer minute track with Arabic numerals. The subsidiary seconds dial is located at six o'clock and the minute recorder dial for the stopwatch is located at twelve o'clock. The original blued steel hands with a gold centre second hand.
Case: The massive English hallmarked 18ct yellow gold case (198grm) with plain front and back covers. The slide for the repeater is on the side of the case. The inner cuvette has an interesting inscription stating that the watch was gifted as a Token of respect and goodwill to Brother R. Kelly by fellow members of a Masonic Lodge in March 1899. The casemaker was Philippe Woodman who worked out of Northampton Square, Clerkenwell London
Movement: The unsigned fully jewelled and numbered movement with part Swiss engraved on the movement meaning that some components were supplied by Swiss watch houses. The chiming of the hours quarters and minutes are very clear. The chronograph mechanism is located under the dial.
