Stauffer
Co. An 18ct Yellow Gold Minute Repeater Keyless Lever Full Hunter Pocket Watch. Retailed by Russells Ltd Liverpool, C1900.
Dial: The white enamel dial signed Russells 18 Church St Liverpool with Arabic numerals, outer minute track and subsidiary dial at six o'clock. The original blued steel spade hands and original matching sub second hand.
Case: The heavy 18ct yellow gold case with plain front and back covers. The inner cover is plain aswell. The cases are all Swiss hallmarked and numbered. The repeater slide is at located at six o'clock.
Movement: A fine fully jewelled movement stamped S
Co which was the sign for Stauffer
Company. The movement has compensation balance, Breguet overcoil hairspring, jewelled to the centre abor and with wolf's tooth winding. The gongs and the hammers are visible, striking the hours, quarters and minutes perfectly.
This pocket watch is a fine example of Swiss craftsmanship. Stauffer
Co were an excellent company supplying watches to many top Swiss brands. This watch would make a fine addition to one's collection.

Baume. A Swiss 18ct yellow gold, full hunter keyless lever minute repeater pocket watch, C1890s.
Dial: A perfect white enamel Roman numeral dial with outer minute track and subsidiary seconds dial with blued steel spade hands and blued steel seconds hand.
Case: The heavy Swiss hallmarked 18ct yellow Gold case with monogram to front cover and dated 23rd April 1900. The back cover is plain as is the inner cuvette. All cases are numbered and hallmarked. The push button to make the watch chime is to the side of the case.
Movement: The beautifully signed movement by Baume, which is fully jewelled has compensated balance and tourbillion style bridge which is a very unusual layout for a minute repeater. The highly polished fly wheel which is visible on the top plate together with the polished hammers to the side.
