We are pleased to offer the striking and distinctive platinum, enamel, and ladies watch showcased in today's offering.
This exquisite vintage ladies wristwatch is powered by Patek Philippe celebrated caliber 8’¾ movement, a compact yet finely constructed manual-wind movement that represents Patek Philippe’s uncompromising standards even at the smallest scale.
Patek designed the extremely high-grade movement to maintain very accurate timekeeping even across a wide range of temperatures, positions, and even amounts of power left (isochronism), something only the highest top tier of mens movements could do. It was virtually unheard of quality for a women's movement, except for some made by Patek Philippe and a few of the highest level ladies movements from a couple other top echelon manufacturers. It is one of the very few women's watches that is truly on par with the very top-tier of men's watches.
The watch is fitted into a period-correct platinum and diamond and enamel set case of striking design.
While the case is not believed to be original to Patek Philippe, it is absolutely correct to the era and fits the movement perfectly, both mechanically and aesthetically. The result is a watch that feels cohesive, intentional, and visually complete—an elegant marriage of one of the world’s finest movements with a case worthy of housing it.
What makes this watch truly unforgettable on the wrist is its aesthetic presence. Its case is a miniature work of sculpture, swirling and tapering around the diagonally set dial with a rhythmic, almost architectural flow. Diamonds are meticulously set into the platinum, catching light at every angle. The design feels alive - dynamic rather than static - recalling the elegance and confidence of late Art Deco jewelry, where form, movement, and light were all part of the composition.
It is not simply a small watch; it is a powerful one. Today, such a piece would exist only as a bespoke commission costing many times its price and requiring a team of specialists to replicate what master artisans once achieved as a matter of course.
One of our Master Watchmakers, who used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealership and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center and also has done authorized work for the Richemont brands including Cartier, Vacheron
Constantin, IWC, JLC and others, has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn parts with genuine Patek replacements, installing a new mainspring, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $995 value).
After more than a century, it is still running amazingly strong and true, keeping time essentially on par with a new Patek in our testing recording position.
For the finishing touch, we have installed a new mesh band designed to replicate the look for the period making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Patek Philippe
It shouldn’t be surprising that a Patek Philippe holds the world auction record for a watch ($31.2 million for a Patek Grandmaster Chime, sold at Christie’s). Known for impeccable craftsmanship and some of the most complicated timepieces ever created, the brand is considered by many to be the height of fine watchmaking. Collectors simply love Patek Philippe watches.
The house was founded in Geneva in 1839 by Polish expats Antoni Patek and Franciszek Czapek. Czapek left the firm, and in 1845, Patek partnered with French watchmaker Jean Adrien Philippe. It was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
Catering to the glitterati of Europe, the pair counted among their clients Tolstoy, Pope Pius IX and Queen Victoria, as well as Countess Koscowicz of Hungary, for whom they created the first Swiss-made wristwatch in 1868. They also had their eye on the American market and in 1851 entered an arrangement with Tiffany Co. still in effect today.
During the Great Depression, brothers Jean and Charles Stern, who had previously supplied Patek Philippe with watch dials, bought the company, and it continues to be run by the Stern family today.
Under the Sterns, the house has developed some of its most famous models, including the Calatrava, an elegantly minimal dress watch introduced in 1932 and named for the Calatrava Cross (the company’s logo since 1887), and the Nautilus, the brand’s first sports watch, conceived by legendary designer Gérald Genta in 1976.
Despite the house’s longevity, it’s rumored that it has manufactured fewer than a million Patek watches, making each one all the more coveted. (The brand's pieces are understandably attractive to counterfeiters — make sure you know how to spot a fake Patek Philippe watch.)
