1971 OMEGA Constellation "C" Chronometer Vintage Mens Watch with Blue Vignette Dial - Stainless Steel
Perfect Restored Condition - Original Parts - 1 Year Warranty
Today's offering showcases this beautiful example of "C" or third generation Constellation with distinctive royal blue vignette dial. It has all of its original parts down to the original crystal gasket!
It offers some of the things that we really like from Omegas in this period.
Its case has the quintessential retro styled tonneau case. Both the bezel sides and the case sides have high-polish facets that contrast and enhance the look of the satin finish elsewhere.
Powering the watch is Omega's caliber 1011 movement officially certified as a chronometer and with a quick-setting date and with 23 jewels.
The ultra-thin automatic movement measures only 4.25mm thick. It has a thinner rotor to reduce stress on winding parts.
It has all of its original part and has just finished a true expertly done restoration - it presents as a 9.8 out of 10.
Its case presents as beautiful mint with perfectly crisp facets on the lugs and bezel. Our photos couldn't dit it justice.
Its dial has been meticulously custom refinished in a royal blue vignette - rich blue at the center that fades to black around the periphery. The printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration its chronometer movement has been serviced by a Master Watchmaker. It is running exceptionally strong and true, keeping time like a brand new Omega in our testing recording position.
For the finishing touch it comes equipped with a new leather band and aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

It’s a celebrated part of Omega lore that the brand’s Speedmaster Professional Chronograph was the first watch to make a lunar landing. But the universal love for vintage Omega watches isn't confined to astronomers, and there’s more to the company’s heritage than the story of the Moonwatch.
The house’s origins date to 1848, when Swiss watchmaker Louis Brandt first set up shop. His sons Louis-Paul and César took over after his death, and in 1894, the pair developed an intriguing new movement.
Not only was it highly accurate, but every part was replaceable, making it easy for any professional to service. The Brandts called their movement the Omega, and as its popularity spread, they changed their company’s name to that of its flagship product.
In 1917, the British Royal Flying Corps designated Omega as an official supplier, and during World War II it became the principal watch supplier for the British forces and their allies. These commissions further strengthened Omega’s commitment to ensuring its products’ reliability under extreme conditions. In 1948, it launched the versatile Seamaster. Developed as a dive watch, the Seamaster proved its durability at high altitudes and freezing temperatures, as well. (Here is the 1stDibs guide to spotting a fake Omega Seamaster.)
Thanks in part to its rugged reputation and Omega’s links to the British military, it became James Bond’s watch of choice in 1995, appearing in GoldenEye and every succeeding Bond movie; it returned in 2021’s No Time to Die. Nevertheless, the most famous Omega by far is the Speedmaster, introduced in 1957. The first chronograph to display its tachymeter scale on the bezel instead of the dial for easier readability, it was quickly adopted by engineers and scientists.
Worn by Buzz Aldrin during the 1969 Apollo 11 lunar mission, it’s the only watch certified by NASA for extravehicular activity (space walks) — and, as far as we know, the only one approved by the Russian space agency, too.

1971 OMEGA DYNAMIC Vintage Mens First Generation Cal. 565 Watch with Quick-Setting Date - Stainless Steel
Gorgeous Original Condition - Interesting & Distinctive - 1 Year Warranty
Created in 1967 by Omega's sales director Robert Forster, the Dynamic is an iconic example of a true retro style. The clean and functional watch, a considerable success for Omega, possessed a number of designed elements that made it stand out:
An ellipse shape with recessed crown determined to be the best geometric shape for the wrist, determined after extensive study
Easy to read two-tone dial with "time zone" sections.
Unicoc case with hermetically sealed crystal water-resistant to a depth of 30m.
Available with a stainless steel bracelet or easily interchangeable water-resistant Cor-fam straps
According to an Omega advertisement at the time, "The shape of the Omega Dynamic was determined by the anatomy of your wrist; its dial by the workings of your eyes; it strap by the physiology of your skin."
Today's offering showcases this first edition Dynamic in gorgeous all-original condition. The first generation of the watch lasted only from 1968 until 1970.
As one of the early Dynamics, before Omega switched to using the 1000 series movements for the line, it is powered by Omega's high-grade caliber 565.
Omega's top-tier caliber 565 movement, one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs, was the top-tier offering of the 500 series. It has 24 jewels and a quick-setting date and is arguably the finest mass-produced automatic movement from era.
It is all-original and presents in gorgeous condition. Its case presents as mint. The stamping on the back is still perfectly crisp.
