About the Item

The Patrizzi Daytona - The Rolex Daytona has always been and will always remain the King of the Sports models and was initially racing inspired. It was in 1987 that Rolex introduced the first self winding Chronograph watch and at that time was not able to manufacture an in-house movement for it. It was fitted with a modified Zenith El Primero movement and today is nicknamed as 'Zenith Daytona'. The stainless steel reference 16520 was produced over a period of ca 12 years and was offered with white and black dials. A small number of the early black dials had a production flaw which resulted in the color change of the initially beige sub dials. This phenomenon was discovered by Osvaldo Patrizzi after whom these dials are named today. The value and desirability of these dials lies in the darkness, shade and consistency of the discolorations. Further the phenomenon of the Patrizzi dial is known to appear only until the mid 90s as the production fault was probably rectified by Rolex. This very example dates back to 1994/1995 and has a mint black Tritium dial with evenly aged dark brown sub dials. The aging is perfect and creates a very attractive look. The case and bracelet are in great condition, this is really an awesome watch. Don't go just for a light color change which in our opinion doesn't deserve to be called Patrizzi, go for the real chocolate color. Specifications Brand: Rolex Model: Daytona Patrizzi Ref. 1971 Rolex GMT Master 18k Brown Dial Ref. 1675/8
By Rolex
Located in Dubai, AE
A GMT Master in Gold A distinguished expression of Rolex's golden age of sports watches, this 1971 GMT-Master Ref. 1675 is cased entirely in 18K yellow gold and fitted with its matching and rare riveted Oyster bracelet. Far less common than its steel counterparts, the gold GMT-Master was intended for a clientele who traveled with both purpose and style—those who demanded functionality without compromising on elegance. The watch features a stunning matte brown “nipple” dial, named for its distinctive raised hour markers set in gold, paired with tritium lume and matching hands. The dial remains in beautiful condition, with a warm, even patina that complements the tone of the gold case. The gold print is is fully intact and stands out from the matte brown surface of the dial. Surrounding it is a gold bezel that is holding a beautiful and consistently faded 24 hour bezel with fat font numbers. The very interesting taupe hue of the insert lends the watch a refined and monochromatic appearance. The 40mm Oyster case remains strong with well-proportioned lugs and sharp lines. The case overall only shows light signs for its age. What truly sets this example apart is the presence of its original riveted gold Oyster bracelet, a correct and increasingly elusive pairing that enhances its period authenticity and collector appeal. The bracelet shows consistent, honest wear and a beautifully aged tone that speaks to the quiet opulence of vintage Rolex gold...

1994 Rolex Day Date British Racing Green Stella Diamond Dial Ref. 18248
By Rolex
Located in Dubai, AE
Racing Green In the 1970s Rolex introduced the Stella dial, a lacquered and highly glossy dial which came in a rainbow of colors. These were reserved for Day Date and some ladies references and we believe they have been produced up to the mid 1990s. In the 1970s the world wasn't ready for these vibrant, loud and bold colors but for sure we are today. Stella dials come in a wide range of colors including Oxblood, Blue, Green, Turquoise, Peach, Seafoam, Red, Orange, Lilac and Yellow. From the late 1980s up to the mid 1990s there was a new color added to the Stella dials, the dark green, we call it the British Racing Green, we assume that was tha last generation of Stella dials. The watch offered here is a 1994 Rolex Day Date...
