This watch is the last wave of Art Deco watches we sourced this year, an incredible find of old/new watches dating from the 1930's. Never been sold, marketed or worn, In this condition, watches from those years are unique and extremely difficult to find. Once these watches are gone, that's it, this is a limited availability. Kept in a drawer and away from day light for several dozen years, these watches were found in a factory in Berlin buried away and only brought to light 80 odd years later, in fact not until April of this year! The factory we are told closed down in 1936. In Sept 2019 this watch had a thorough service, fully stripped, cleaned, oiled and timed. This particular Ladies watch is one of the more stylish and unique from the haul, fabulous Deco chrome case . Some of the watches came to us in two's and three's, this watch came as just one example. Chrome-plated that even a picky perfectionist could only describe as mint condition, 31.5 x 23.5 MM mm without lugs. , works perfectly. A manual wind up movement which runs on 15 jewels. Original dial with Arabic numerals, finely yellow hands, the hands and numerals with luminescent paint (paint not in working order /doesn't illuminate in the dark) . The glass crystal is unscratched. A new soft mustard coloured leather strap has been added . This watch is as authentic as to the day it was made, no touched up dials, re-chroming etc. Perfect both for everyday wear and for adding to the collections and surely an amazing investment that can only grow in value. Lovely watch any lady would love to wear. The case back is free of any engravings, shows no wear-through to the plating. Still with it's original label! All of our watches are sent out in complimentary presentation boxes, ideal for gifting and to store for personal collections.
