We seldom see these truly vintage watches with original spring loaded link bracelets that still function well. This watch was produced by Racine, a small but prestigious house based in Le Locle, however the Racine's were involved in many different watch factories. They have a long history going back to the 1700's. The watch and bracelet are inlaid with Niello, which is an ancient technique similar to enameling. However, instead of "melted" glass, it is "melted" metal, in this case done as a "Greek Key" motif. The watch keeps dependable time and you can wear and count on it to get you there on time.
