This rare watch by the legendary house of C.D. Peacock is entirely hand constructed and hallmarked with the French Eagles Head mark. It also has registration marks, similar to Cartier. It is possible that the item was produced for Peacock by Cartier. Peacock was founded in Chicago in the 1830's just as the city was growing. They are still in business today and are renowned for their quality and designs.
