About the Item

An incredible gold watch from watchmaker Corum for the luxurious designer Van Cleef Arpels, most likely from the 1960s! This vibrant 18kt yellow gold timepiece displays a classic appeal. The watch's face is comprised of a textured gold face with delicately painted hour numerals, simple hands, and markings including the Corum logo, "CORUM", "VAN CLEEF ARPELS", and "SWISS MADE" in fine print. The timepiece rests on a lizard-skin band, which is stamped with "18" (denoting the band width), "167", "Handmade in France", and "GENUINE LIZARD", which is held secure by a 14k watch buckle stamped "ELGIN 14k". The simple, polished rear dust cover is stamped with several hallmarks, including "18K", serial numbers "51116" and "103730", the Corum hallmark on the back, "SWISS MADE", gold purity marks, and a Swiss hallmark on the inside. The movement is a Corum 17 jewel Swiss movement marked with a serial number, "76681", "SWISS", and "Adjusted Three 3 Positions". A fabulous timepiece by a legendary company, this watch makes a dazzling statement piece when worn and would be an incredible addition to any collection! Measurements: The watch measures 9" long in total length with holes from approximately 7" to 8 1/4" and would likely fit a medium to large sized wrist. The watch face measures a little over 1 1/4" in diameter, and is about 1/4" thick. The band measures a little under than 3/4", or 18mm. Condition: The overall condition of the watch is good. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting or face. The clasp and band are in good condition and in working order, and, at this time, the watch mechanics are in perfect working order and keeping good time.
