This unique watch by the legendary American house of Elgin was produced in their factory in Elgin Illinois. The watch is done in the classic Tortue or turtle shape and was inspired by a design from Cartier. The original tortue, or turtle watch was first launched by Louis Cartier when he saw giant tortoises holding up columns in an ancient Greek Temple. He realized the shape would be perfect for a watch. We have just serviced this watch and it keeps excellent dependable time, so you can count on it to get you there on time, every time.
