This is a great looking watch by the iconic house of Birks. The watch is entirely hand made and the dial is exceptional having been done in Sterling Silver with Kiln Fired Enamel Printing. We seldom see these hand made dials as fine as this one is. The workmanship on the watch and dial are exceptional as well. This is a wonderful watch for all sorts of occasions and it can be counted on as well to get you there on time.
BIRKS HISTORY
Henry Birks
Sons traces its origins to 1879 when Henry Birks, a master silversmith with family roots in English craftsmanship, opened a small jewelry shop on Saint James Street in Montreal. In 1893, his three sons joined the business, leading to the company's renaming to Henry Birks and Sons. From its humble beginnings, the firm quickly expanded, moving to larger premises on Phillips Square in Montreal in 1894 (where a store and corporate offices remain today), and opening branches across Canada in the early 20th century. While renowned for its exquisite jewelry and silverware, Birks also established itself in the watch market, selling watches under its own name and in partnership with established Swiss makers like Enicar, Eterna, and even casing Vacheron
Constantin movements under the Birks label, cementing its legacy as a purveyor of luxury goods.
