About the Item
Our vintage Longines features an unusual domed square case with fancy lugs, 25mm (exc crown) by 35mm lug to lug. The attractive curved dial has some patination , to be expected given the age. The case back is stamped "Cased and Timed in the USA" and is 10k gold filled. We date manufacture to c.1944 given the 68*** serial number and the practice of sending an unassembled watch in period was to circumvent the punitive import taxes during WW2. A new quality strap is fitted with tang buckle, included remarkably is its original box. This is a superb deco styled watch suitable in size for a classic mens watch or larger ladies watch. The perfect wear for a revival or similar period themed attire.
