About the Item
This very rare Retro Period Longines ladies driving watch, created during the 1940's, incorporates elements of Art-Deco with a wonderful platinum flower vase set with natural Rubies, Sapphires and Diamonds on one side of the face. The bezel of the timepiece is set generously with diamonds. Flanking that on the other side is a platinum Art-Deco motif set with diamonds and natural sapphires. This is described as a "Driving Watch" because the watch face is angled for ease of view when ones hand is placed firmly on the steering wheel of an automobile. Every component of this intriguing timepiece is original and the dial has have a blemish which can be seen in the accompanying photo's.*Total approximate weight of all diamonds is 1.00ct and the colored stones have a total approximate weight of 1.25ct. The watch head itself measures 15/16 inches in width and the band width tapers to 7/16 inches at the rear. This very unique item is made to comfortably fit a medium wrist. There are no markings anywhere, but metals test for platinum and 14K. Gross weight 38.50 grams.

- Condition:Minor losses. Scratches on the dial and elsewhere, which appear pronounced in photographs, are barely visible to the unaided eye. In the majority of instances, vintacge watch dials are not refinished as collectors very often demand "original condition".
