This is a unique watch by the legendary house of Movado made for Tiffany
Co. Tiffany was a big purchaser of Movado Watches because of their fine quality. The name Movado means "always moving" in Esperanto, one of the greatest ideas in human history, but that is another story. Anyway, our Finest Master Watchmaker has just given this watch a Factory Quality Service and it still has a factory rating on it. We seldom see this unique watch and this one is in excellent condition. It is the perfect unisex size and can be worn for all sorts of occasions.
Movado History
Movado, meaning "always in motion" in Esperanto, was founded in 1881 by Achille Ditesheim in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. What began as a small workshop quickly gained a reputation for high-quality, precise timepieces and innovation, leading to the adoption of the name Movado in 1905. The brand achieved international acclaim with the introduction of the iconic Museum dial in 1947, designed by Nathan George Horwitt, which, with its single dot at 12 o'clock, became the first watch dial ever accepted into the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Throughout its history, Movado has consistently blended traditional Swiss craftsmanship with modernist design principles, expanding its collections and global presence while maintaining its commitment to artistry and horological excellence.
