Rare 1940s Bulova Checkerboard Dial Wristwatch with Tonneau Case

This timepiece features a striking and rare two-tone "checkerboard" dial in alternating segments of silver and copper, offering a bold and distinctive Art Deco aesthetic. Housed in a beautifully preserved yellow gold-tone tonneau (barrel-shaped) case, the watch exudes refined mid-century elegance.
The watch features applied gold-tone Arabic numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o'clock, and matching gold-tone hands. The original domed crystal is clear and free of major blemishes, while the manually-wound movement runs smoothly and keeps time accurately.
