Louis XV style oak breakfront armoire, late 19th/ early 20th century, carved rocaille crest, over three doors, center door faced with a beveled mirror plate, open interior, three exterior drawers below, rising on cabriole legs, ending in whorl feet, approx 100.25" Heighth, 73" Width, 27" Depth. Possible minor silvering to mirror as expected from age. The furniture of the Louis XV period (1715-1774) is characterized by curved forms, lightness, comfort and asymmetry; it replaced the more formal, boxlike and massive furniture of the Louis XIV style.
