Jon Rhodes was born in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales in 1947. before moving at a young age to Brisbane, Queensland. He took up photography in the late 60s which eventually led him to documentary work as an assistant cinematographer in countries such as Australia, Papua New Guinea, and India where he developed his cinematic approach to photography. It was also in the 1970s that he began his collaborative work with the Indigenous Australian Aboriginal Peoples. Today Rhodes is widely viewed as a pioneer in bringing a high-art approach to documenting the lives of Aboriginal People living in remote communities.

Colorful acrylic on canvas original painting "Beyond Paradise" by internationally reknowned artist Isaac Maimon, circa 1992. The painting is very bright and colorful featuring a young stylish woman sitting. The painting measures 36" x 36" x 2" (the canvas is 24" x. 24"); it is presented in its original black wood frame with a double silk mat. It is signed, "Maimon" in the lower right corner and is numbered 14999 The painting was purchased for $4,950 from Atlas Galleries in Chicago, IL in 1992. #2523
Maimon has a distinct and recognizable style of painting which captures the energy of Parisian street scenes, with masterful lines and inspired strokes of color. Isaac Maimon was born in Israel in 1951 and has devoted the majority of his life pursuing a career in the arts.
