Pair of Ben Seibel Bookends for Jenfred-Ware
By Ben Seibel
Located in Redding, CT
Pair of Ben Seibel Bookends for Jenfred-Ware . Amoeba like shape to these Classic midcentury bookends. These book weights are rather light. Not super heavy like other Ben Seibel ones. Unable to polish clean, "as is" condition. Tarnished and unpolished. Brass finish cannot be polished up. He never completed his degree, instead starting a studio that he maintained alongside a small staff until his death in 1985 at the age of 67. Seibel is best known for his tableware designs, drawing influences from his study of sculpture and travels in Japan. His work in ceramics was prolific and wide-ranging in style, reaching prominence in the 1950s with his Informal and Impromptu lines for Iroquois...
