Slim Aarons Estate Edition
Over the course of a career lasting half a century, Slim Aarons (1916-2006) portrayed high society, aristocracy, authors, artists, business icons, the celebrated and their milieu. In doing so, he captured a golden age of wealth, privilege, beauty and leisure that occurred alongside—but quite separate from—the cultural and political backdrop of the second half of the Twentieth Century.
The Slim Aarons Estate has released the limited Estate edition as a Lambda print, which is a modern c-type prints. They have chosen Lambda prints for their sharpness, clarity, colour saturation and quality, compared to archival inkjet prints. Lambda printing gives true continuous tone.

About the artist
Linda Rosewall’s artistic path was cemented during her childhood. She was inspired by her farther, an accomplished musician and composer who raised his six children as a performing family act.

Dolores Guinness (31 July 1936 – 20 January 2012), was a German born "Freiin" (Baroness), socialite, fashion icon and jet set member of the 1950s and 1960s. She has been a member of the International Best Dressed List since 1970. Her mother was the famous Mexican-born socialite Gloria Guinness.
Dolores was often seen in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Town and Country and Life magazine dressed in designer clothes from Givenchy, Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent and Balenciaga during the 1950s and 1960s, photographed by Cecil Beaton, Bert Stern, Henry Clarke, Mark Shaw (photographer), Richard Avedon and William Klein. She often appeared on the International Best Dressed List during these years.

Peter C. Jones is a fine art photographer, documentary film director, publication consultant, producer, and author. He has organized more than one hundred exhibitions throughout the United States and Europe and produced more than sixty books. Born and raised in New York City, he graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) where he studied privately with Harry Callahan. Jones is President of the Josef and Yaye Breitenbach Foundation originating twenty-eight one-person exhibitions and ten books. He has served as a member of the Board of Fellows at The Center For Creative Photography. Jones is also a former consultant to The Philadelphia Museum of Art, Aperture and the Estate of Paul Strand.
In 2004, Nazraeli Press published Sweep Out Cottage, a compilation of photographs made in and around a house known as the Four Winds in Little Compton, Rhode Island. He has showed at KMR Arts Gallery and at Bonni Benrubi Gallery. His photos are in many private and public collections.
A Rising Tide of Silence was Jones’s first documentary production. The film explores the life and international influence of Father Thomas Keating who introduced Centering Prayer to a wide western audience. A Rising Tide of Silence premiered at the 2013 Aspen Film Festival and won the Audience Choice Award. Peter Jones has spoken at numerous screenings most recently at Harvard and at the Dalai Lama's Center For Ethics at MIT.Jones is the author of The Changing Face of America (Prentice Hall Press) and the co-author of three other books including Social Gardens (Stewart, Tabori & Chang). His photographs, articles, and op-ed pieces have been published by The New York Times Magazine, Connoisseur, Smart Money, Aperture, and The Providence Journal.
Peter C. Jones lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Charlotte M. Frieze, who is a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects and the Garden Editor of House & Garden magazine.

"When the Queen’s parents suggested she move to a quieter room away from the crowds of well-wishers heard from the front of the Palace, she refused, insisting 'I want my baby to be born in my own room, amongst the things I know.'" Prince Edward was born 10 March 1964 in the Belgian Suite at Buckingham Palace, attended by midwife Helen Rowe and ob-gyn John Harold Peel. The last of Queen Elizabeth II’s children, it was the first to be active and conscious, at a time when “twilight sleep” - knocking out the mother and delivering via forceps - was beginning to phase out. All the Queen’s children were Royal homebirths. Her first birth in 1948 had already marked the end of centuries’ long tradition of Royal observation. Historically, at a birth of any potential heir to the throne, the room would be crowded with ladies-in-waiting, midwives, servants and doctors, near crushing Marie Antoinette to death in 1778. With the birth of her fourth and final child, the Queen was said to lay down the terms for how she wanted to deliver, breaking yet another tradition by having her husband present. Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had always been a nervous expectant father and historically had chosen to spend the Queen’s labours swimming and playing squash.
