A splendid vintage Cartier Paris diamond bead long necklace featuring approximately 7 carats of highest quality diamonds (E-G color / VVS clarity) all set in lustrous 18 karat white gold. The rope necklace is composed of 125 identical perfectly polished round spheres each of which contains a sparkling round brilliant diamond. The necklace terminates in an elegant diamond encrusted clasp which is a decorative element in itself, and its ball and joint latching mechanism is completely concealed under the pavéd diamond surface. The clasp is designed in such a way as to be able to attach to any of the individual beads in the necklace. This gives necklace endless variety of wear options: whether as a graceful diamond riviere with the clasp attached to the final bead on the opposite end; or a shorter version with the clasp attached to any of the beads in the middle of the necklace and the remaining rope-end elegantly dropping to the decolletage area in a manner of art deco necklaces; or the necklace can be worn as a true double row choker; another possibility is to wear it as triple row bracelet. The decorative clasp can be positioned either on the front or on the back of the neck depending on the wearer’s desired aesthetic. This wonderful versatility allows the necklace to be worn as either a glamorous complement to a dressy outfit or a bold highlight of a more casual one.
