Old Country Roses was designed by Harold Holdcroft and introduced in 1962. Its flamboyant design was inspired by the riot of colour and assortment of flowers in a typical English cottage garden, and especially by fragrant roses in full bloom. Harold used both rich and soft colours combining lush deep red roses with warmth from a peach tea rose and delicacy from the blush pink, and accentuated the composition with rich green foliage.
Brilliant gold stippling and 22-carat gilded rims complete the design creating one of the most exuberant expressions of Royal Albert's acclaimed century-long, floral tradition. Overwhelmingly popular throughout the world, Old Country Roses is regarded as the epitome of fine English teaware.
Company History
Wild (Thomas C. Wild (& Co.)) (1896–1917)
Thomas Clarke Wild joined his father, Thomas Wild, in the purchase of the Albert Works, Longton in 1895, and the partnership manufactured bone china teaware as Thomas C. Wild & Co. Wild became sole proprietor on the death of his father in 1898 and from 1905 to 1917 the business traded simply as ‘Thomas C. Wild’. The St Mary’s Works, Longton, was purchased from Bernard Moore in 1905 and used initially for decoration of the products manufactured at the nearby Albert Works. As Wild’s business prospered he acquired other factories and pottery businesses, the Park Place Works was acquired in about 1910, followed by the Royal Albert China Works in 1917, the Shore & Coggins Ltd business (and Edensor Works) in 1918 and that of William Lowe...

By General Electric Company (GEC) 1
Located in Nottingham, GB
EXTRA LARGE FLP VINTAGE INDUSTRIAL PENDANT LIGHTS BY VICTOR
Oversized industrial pendant lights reclaimed from a chemical mixing plant in Scotland.
Made in England circa 1950 by Victor Products Ltd.
The heavy duty cast aluminium bodies of the light fittings have been coated in our rusted patina and sealed to lock in the finish,
The thick glass domed bottom section is haloed by a large green enamel diffuser shade giving a real unique look to these lights, the enamel diffusers would of been an optional extra to the lights for areas that required focused light.
The orange / brown tones of the rusted patina really pops against the green enamel shades.
Various cast marking can be seen around the light including the FLP ratings and "VICTOR" makers marks also original brass plates are intact displaying the original wattage / voltage and model number.
The lights have been professionally restored, all electrical components have been updated using CE certified parts and including 3m of our premium black fabric cable and heavy duty black chain and ceiling fittings.
Please contact us for use outside of the UK, the lights can be adapted and wired to suit most countries worldwide.
The artists figure "WOODY" in the images is 6ft 1" to give a representation of scale.

By Santiago James Moore French
Located in Amersham, GB
A one of a kind english twin fusee carriage clock by James Moore French. The eight day movement has a large English jewelled level escapement with compensated bimetallic balance. James Moore French was born in 1781 in County Antrim, Ireland. He was the son of Dr Hugh French and Sarah (née Arundel) French who married his father in 1763 and died in 1783, two years after James’s birth. In 1784, the year after Sarah’s death, Dr Hugh French married a widow named Judith Woodward who was to raise the young James French as her own, alongside his own and his half siblings. As a young man, James French moved from Ireland to London, where he worked with a relative, Peter Moore...
