This lovely pair of 19th century hand carved oak side chairs feature the lines and patterns typical of French Louis XV period. A cartouche-shaped slight arched framed back adorned with carved rosettes and foliate motifs, gently moulded apron supported by cabriole legs.
Both seats and backs are upholstered in vintage Fortuny fabric with stylized floral designs in petrol blue on golden cream background.
Perfect structural condition, solid, sturdy and firm, very decorative and comfortable to sit. The tapestry in both chairs has some repairs and minor wears due to age and use but still charming and fahionable.
