Louis Armstrong, Berlin 1965
Located in Cologne, DE
This black-and-white photo captures jazz legend Louis Armstrong playing his trumpet during a performance in Berlin in 1965. Armstrong, with intense focus, holds the trumpet close to his lips, his cheeks slightly puffed as he blows into the instrument. The lighting creates a dramatic effect, highlighting the shine of the trumpet and his facial expression, which conveys his passion and dedication to the music. Dressed in formal attire, Armstrong stands in the spotlight, embodying his iconic status as one of jazz music's greatest figures. The background is blurred, keeping the focus on Armstrong and his trumpet. The print is new, Highest Quality on Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta. More sizes up to 150x150 cm available on request. Gilbert Becaud - Concert in Berlin 1964
Located in Cologne, DE
This photo shows the French singer Gilbert Bécaud during a concert in East Berlin in 1964. In the image, Bécaud is captured in a dramatic moment, standing on stage and reaching upwards with his right arm, his fingers forming a sharp, expressive gesture. He is dressed in a dark suit, accentuated by a white shirt cuff. His face is turned upwards, seemingly caught in an intense emotional performance. The stark contrast of his figure against the deep black background highlights the emotional energy of the moment, which was characteristic of Bécaud's passionate and dynamic stage presence. Known for his exuberant and engaging performances, Bécaud, often referred to as "Monsieur 100.000 Volts" due to his electrifying stage persona, was immensely popular in the 1960s, and this concert in East Berlin would have been a rare cultural exchange during the Cold War era. His concerts were often marked by his powerful voice and the high emotional intensity of his performances, which captivated audiences across the world. The print is new, Highest Quality on Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta. More sizes up to 150x150 cm available on request. Follow The Tracks
By Julia Beyer
Located in Morongo Valley, CA
'Follow The Tracks', 2018, 20 x 40 cm, edition of 10, digital C-Print based on a Polaroid diptych, hand-numbered and signed on the back by artist not mounted “Follow The Tracks” This Polaroid Diptych, shot on expired Impossible film, is part of the “Landmarks Series”, in which Julia thrives to depict the beauty of her home, the Ruhr Area, that is often rather known for its industrial history than its landscape art sculptures.

Julia’s work is showing and in the permanent collection of the Bombay Beach Biennale. Artist Statement “Since my childhood days I always loved taking photos, but for unknown reasons instant film never really caught my attention. After I saw the works of a friend who happened to be a gifted Polaroid photographer, I was totally mesmerized and the desire to shoot with instant film constantly grew in me. But for as long as I can think music has always been my main preoccupation. I somehow always feel the need to create, but my focus shifted more and more from making music to instant photography and it grew into something much more fulfilling and pure. Sometimes, these two passions even come together when I am able to provide my photos for album artworks – this makes me incredibly happy. As I always have been very introverted and reclusive I often drift off into my own inner world. The dreamlike landscapes and surreal atmospheres in my work are the visualization and the result of these imaginations. Another influence on my photography is my essential need to travel the world. But I am not interested in documenting the places I see like they are but rather love to create otherworldly scenes by adding the dreamlike texture of instant film, serving me as a needful escape from reality.” Artist Biography Julia Beyer is an analogue photographer from Germany. She mainly works with instant film to express her inner visions that often show dreamlike landscapes and surreal atmospheres. After being more known for her musical endeavors as the singer of the dreampop band Chandeen, she began to delve into this photographic art form in 2014 and since then expands her portfolio continuously. Her work has been published in various international print and online publications. Since 2017, she is a member of the renowned "12:12 Project", a worldwide collective of female Polaroid photographers. Selected Press and Publications: Feature in “Photodarium” Calendar 2016, 2017 and 2018 (Germany) Print feature in Monochrome Mag issue four: Instant (Australia) Print feature in Double Exposure Zine, Issue 2 // Vacancy (USA) Shoot Film UK, Issue #001 “Overexposed” (UK) Feature in The Impossible Project Magazine Artwork photography...

Louis Armstrong smoking a cigarette, Berlin 1965
Located in Cologne, DE
This striking black-and-white photograph captures jazz legend Louis Armstrong during a candid moment at a press event in 1965. Armstrong is seen seated at a table, a cigarette delicately held between his fingers, as he gazes thoughtfully off to the side. His signature bow tie and formal attire reflect his polished style, while the slight smile on his lips hints at his charismatic personality. The image is framed by soft-focus floral arrangements in the foreground, which enhance the intimate setting. Microphones surround him, indicating his role as a prominent figure in the music industry. The lighting subtly highlights the contours of his face and the gleam of his watch, emphasizing the depth of character and experience in his expression. This photograph not only embodies Armstrong's iconic status but also captures the essence of his lively spirit and dedication to jazz music. About Tassilo Leher: Born in the dark years of World War II, Tassilo Leher became an icon of photographic art in divided Germany. As the son of war correspondent Karl Leher, whose lens captured moments of contemporary history, he was born in 1940 in the heart of Berlin.
