Table 2 La Che by Sebastian Herkner
Located in Geneve, CH
Table 2 la che by Sebastian Herkner Materials: 100% Fique fibers from Furcraea leaves from Furcraea leaves. Technique: Hand-woven in Colombia. Dimensions: Diameter 37 cm x W 22 x H 46 cm Available in colors: black, verde, bronce, cuerda. And other sizes. The La Che Side Table honors the beautiful traditional weaving craft of Colombia. Sebastian Herkner designed the collection after visiting Colombia and studying the weaving techniques of the local artisans. The name La Che is a reference to the Laches, an indigenous Colombian people, who used a method with the same name to create baskets. The tables are available in three sizes. The tables are made in small workshops in the Boyacá region, which is situated 2,400 meters above sea level in the Colombian Andes. This area has a long tradition of working with fibers made from the leaves of the fique plant. These fibers are wound by hand and a robust part of the fique plant is used as a frame. The dyes used have mostly natural ingredients, such as nuts, roots, and bark from trees, all native to the region. The production process is very labor-intense and requires a great deal of skill: It takes several weeks to produce one La Che table...

Sculpted Side Table Human Element II Collin Velkoff
By Collin Velkoff
Located in Geneve, CH
Human Element, Excavation II, 2017 Granite and gypsum cement Measures: 80 x 32 x 48 cm Edition - Unique work ‘Human Element’ is a project that explores the influence material has on the human condition and how our consciousness is derived from our relationship with materials. By using cement and anchoring forms to stone, he wants to create a sense of familiarity and comfort. Through the manipulation of form, balance, and texture, Collin Townsend Velkoff wants his sculptures to convey a feeling of unease and tension which communicates our relationship with materials and our dependency on the environment. For these sculptures, he has developed a sand casting technique that allows him to cast unique cement forms onto organic stone forms buried beneath the sand. After the cement cures the two materials are locked together and the object is then dug out by hand. Stones are selected from nature and construction sites, these stones dictate the shape, color, and forms on the cement pieces that will cast onto the stones. Each piece is unique. Amaya Dining Table, Kenneth Cobonpue
By Kenneth Cobonpue
Located in Geneve, CH
Amaya dining table, Kenneth Cobonpue. Materials: Abaca, steel. Dimensions: D 76 x W 76 x H 74 cm. Kenneth Cobonpue is a multi-awarded furniture designer and manufacturer from Cebu, Philippines. His passage to design began in 1987, studying Industrial Design at the Pratt Institute in New York. While completing his studies, he apprenticed for a leather and wood workshop near Florence, Italy. He went on to study Furniture Marketing and Production at the Export-Akademie Baden-Württemberg in Reutlingen, Germany, under a private and state scholarship program, and subsequently worked in Bielefeld and Munich. Kenneth returned home to Cebu in 1996 to manage Interior Crafts of the Islands, Inc., a furniture design and manufacturing company founded by his mother Betty Cobonpue in 1972. Discovering that modern design could have a new face using natural fibers and materials, Kenneth created pieces of functional art, offering an alternative to the Western definition of modern design. Today, the Kennethcobonpue brand has become known globally for its unique designs and extensive roster of clientele, including Hollywood celebrities and members of royalty. With his masterful way of integrating nature, traditional craft and innovative technologies, designer and creative director Kenneth Cobonpue has earned international awards and recognition for his creative, organic, and expressive pieces. Working closely with some of the world’s leading designers, from household names to emerging talents, Kenneth has been pushing the envelope for design in the Philippines and sharing his vision to a global audience.  Awards to his credit include five Japan Good Design Awards, the grand prize at Singapore International Design Competition, the Design for Asia Award of Hong Kong, the American Society of Interior Design Top Pick selection and the French Coup...
