Early Moschino pieces designed by Franco Moschino himself – often referred to as Italian fashion's "enfant terrible" – within the short period when he launched the House of Moschino in 1983 until he passed away in 1994 are sought after and highly collectible. This small treasure, like several others that are available at the Oh! Jackie storefront, comes direct from a German socialite and fashion collector so has not been on the market prior to this. This documented Spring/Summer 1991 MOSCHINO by Redwall purse or cosmetic bag is a wonderful example of Franco Moschino's fanciful designs and captures the fun vibe that Moschino has always represented as a brand. PLEASE NOTE that I sell the matching backpack and shopper from this collection as well. Both are available in my Oh! Jackie storefront. The lovely heart-shaped black leather purse is appliquéd with a small gold-metal-framed mirror in the center and various small leather and metal flowers placed around. The reverse side is plain black. It opens at the top with a zip that is decorated with a heart-shaped gold-metal charm. The design is made in Italy by Redwall from high-quality, beautifully soft leather and lined in black 'redwall' signed fabric. The zip charm is embossed with "MOSCHINO" on one side and "REDWALL MADE IN ITALY" on the reverse side. The interior signature reads "Moschino by Redwall Made in Italy" and "470012" (serial number). Comes with its original dust bag. Excellent vintage condition.
