This framed 22.25" x 18.25" lithograph print on paper by artist Alberto Giacometti features the piercing eyes from a partially obscured face. Alberto Giacometti (1901-1966) was a Swiss born sculpture, painter, and printmaker. One of the foremost sculptures of the 20th century, Giacometti was heavily influenced by Cubism and Surrealism. He moved to Paris in 1922 forming relationships alongside Miró, Picasso, and Max Ernst. By the 1940's Giacometti had shifted his focus almost exclusively to sculpting the human head, often using his sister artist Isabel Rawsthrone as a model.
