“I’ve spent many afternoons watching the Amur tigers saunter around their space in the Big Cat Crossing at the Philadelphia Zoo, sometimes overwhelmed by their beauty to the point of tears. This particular fall day, the unexpectedly cool weather brought out the frisky, playful side of them. I was treated to a game of hide-andseek. Each time they “caught” each other, they would celebrate by chasing each other through their pond of water, splashing as they went; which brought cheers from the spectators watching from the sidelines. Their gorgeous green eyes peeking through the leaves completely bewitched me. It was my pleasure to create this painting in honor of their game.”
