A large French gilt bronze bracket clock – symbolizing the triumphant song of the Louis XIV You will discover the full Baroque style of the reign of King Louis XIV through this large French Gilt bronze ebony marquetry bracket clock. The inner core of the clock is ebony. The outside of the clock is inlaid with extremely delicate and skillful gilt bronze in the motifs. Ormolu combined with ebony will make the clock shine in the middle of the room. This cartel clock makes a strong visual impression because the two colors of gold and black blend together to enhance the typical beauty of the luxurious Boulle style. These are also prominent colors that are often loved by Boulle – the master of marquetry.
