Between Harmony and Invention

A truly symbiotic collaboration, the site-specific commission by Rosalind Tallmadge was created with the guidance of Art/artefact to occupy five 10-foot tall niches in a storied Napa Valley winery s limestone rotunda that have stood empty for nearly 30 years. Drawing inspiration from the winery’s ethos of each vintage as a unique and exceptional expression of time and place, the five panels represent the cycle of the seasons and the relationship between terroir and the time-honored craft of fine wine. The classical materials and organic compositions express the brand s unique history as the collaboration between old and new world wine-making traditions.
