Kips Bay Showhouse 2016

This Presentation Powder Room was completed with Kohler Co. as one of the gracious sponsors for the Kips Bay Showhouse 2016 and the help of Element Design Group. Custom blue leather walls by Dualoy crowned with a band of bespoke Ankasa embroidery on Stark fabric were able to form a worthy canvas to feature the rare and exquisite mosaic panel Queen of Malaren by Einar Forseth from Modernity Gallery in Stockholm. Created in 1923 as a maquette for the Stockholm City Hall, the pane was digitally reproduced for the Showhouse. Christopher Spitzmiller created the geranium leaf ceramic mirror and the Hadley lamps like pieces of jewelry for the Powder Room. Accessories by E.Braun Co and their custom embroidered hand towels added an extra touch. The room was lit by a petrified sunflower Murano glass fixture from L Antiquaire in Westport, a gold toad and an antique dictionary stand for reading, as well as the orange toilet paper are typical Harry touches.
