Lexington Residence
When a former client returns with a new project, it reflects an exceptional level of trust that makes the design process all the more rewarding—and the results speak for themselves. Years after a successful renovation together, this family returned to Elms Interior Design to refresh their 1999 shingle-style home for life with three kids and three dogs. The dated interiors were updated through thoughtful cosmetic changes, including new wallcoverings, material enhancements, artful lighting, and a cohesive paint palette. To improve flow between the kitchen and dining room, outdated columns were replaced with steel-and-glass transom panels, creating a more open connection. Marble waterfall-edge islands, a new backsplash, blackened cabinetry, and brass detailing add contrast and polish to the kitchen. Stone-clad fireplaces and a curated mix of vintage and modern pendant lighting bring warmth and refined elegance throughout the home.
