Norman Manor
Arcadia, CA | 7,500 sq ft
Complete furnishing of a grand 2003 Italianate residence for a family overwhelmed by the scale of their new home. Phase one completed, with additional rooms planned.
This project focused on making a 7,500 square foot house feel intimate and livable.
The challenge was creating warmth and personality in spaces with soaring ceilings and formal proportions while maintaining functionality for daily family life.
We approached each room as its own environment, carefully balancing scale through furniture selection and spatial arrangement. Custom pieces were designed to anchor large rooms without overwhelming them. The layering of textures—linen, velvet, natural wood, stone—adds depth and warmth to spaces that could otherwise feel institutional.
The phased approach allowed the family to live with the initial design before expanding into remaining rooms, ensuring each phase responds to their evolving needs.
Scope: Whole-home furnishing (phased approach)
