Presidio Heights
Family Home by Amy Meier Design in San Francisco, CA
Though it is hard to compete with its dramatic views across the green expanse of the Presidio out to the Golden Gate Bridge, this Presidio Heights townhouse’s stately but relaxed elegance merits attention of its own. Built in the 1930’s and certainly a product of San Francisco’s transitioning Art Deco period, we wanted to keep the home’s strong bones and delightful period details, while also creating the feeling of a bespoke home built specifically for our client’s and how they live. As a result, the home is a collection of dualities: both showplace (for the stunning natural environment) and showpiece; historical and modern, structurally formal but decidedly comfortable.
