Brooklyn Brownstone
Family Home by Charlap Hyman
Herrero in Brooklyn, NY
Charlap Hyman Herrero fully renovated and restored a historic Brooklyn townhouse for an artist and a curator with two young children. Featured in Architectural Digest’s December, 2017 "Living with Art" issue, the home features a cork floored kitchen that drew inspiration from Piero Portaluppi’s Villa Necchi. A skylit master bathroom functions as an atrium between the bedroom and the wardrobe, paying homage to the wonderful floors in Cy Twombly s Roman studio. The result of this collaboration between CHH and such creative clients is a space in which history, art and narrative all come together within a coherent program.
