Fine print: Genesis is printed on a traditional coated 250 gsm art paper from the German paper mill Scheufelen that is no longer available on the market and was produced specially for Taschen. The black and white pictures are reproduced in a four-color separation process, with two blacks and two shades of grey; the density of the blacks achieved rivals that of the finest silver gelatin prints. GENESIS was printed and bound in an Italian workshop utilizing traditional craftsmanship techniques that are unique worldwide in this field, using Italian Cialinen fabric for the cover. The Ando book Stand was hand made in Spain, and the leather originates from Britain. Very rare and unusual piece, a sterling silver "note holder" fronted by an Indian Chief on the front in high relief. A bale on top provides for a necklace and hanging as a decorative piece of jewelry. Other decoration on the front includes a tomahawk and a peace pipe criss-crossed beneath the Indian. The back is plain with a decorative "repousse" floral border, and "sterling" clearly marked in the lower left (see image). It is 2 7/8" high  x 2" wide resembling and in the style of a match safe; probably manufactured by Unger Bros. of Newark, New Jersey, circa 1880, but difficult to observe all of the surfaces because of the frontal "notes" in permanent place. A note holder would have been used to write down reminders and/or notations by the user; the surfaces appear to be a celluloid type material. Condition is excellent with six notes intact; a very slight "crease" to the back side; hardly noticeable (see image). Appropriate Americana for the discerning collector with a Western Native American...

The tempered glass playing field is at least 9/16” thick. A precise leveling system utilizing 12 screws is hidden inside the table’s black, solid oak base. Available in different options: Light Bronze structure DIMENSIONS: L 290 W 163 H 82 cm It features legs made of clear tempered crystal at least 0.59" th. with double-bevel edges that self-stabilize, a support made of solid wood hollowed out for the insertion of the glass, hiding a perfect system of regulation and a playing field made of a single sheet of tempered crystal at least 0.59" th. Simonis 860 worsted wool playing surface available in 25 colors. For the perfect game of style, Teckell pool tables’ surfaces are also available with Redaelli Velluti made in Italy cloths. No mark, but definitely American, circa 1900 era. Note the detail to the Indian's face and his elaborate headdress. Little did Wertheimer know that this would be the job of his life: just 21 years old, Elvis Presley was—as we now know—about to become a legend. Trailing him like a shadow, Wertheimer was given unlimited Scope to get up close and personal with Elvis; even as the singer was seducing young women in dark hallways, he allowed the photographer to record his every move.
