They were known for their Art Deco figures of dancers, elegant women, and animals, with a characteristic style that combined grace and dynamism. Artists like Rudolf Podany and Stefan Dakon (who also worked for Goldscheider) designed many of their pieces. Throughout its history, spanning over 60 years, Keramos produced around 3000 model designs, created by approximately 60 ceramists. It participated in numerous exhibitions in Austria and internationally, winning awards (for example, a silver medal at the Paris Art Exhibition in 1925). Vintage Italian Glazed Terracotta Dogs - A Pair
Located in West Palm Beach, FL
Inject a dose of grand whimsical charm into your home with this spectacular pair of monumental vintage Italian terracotta dogs. Modeled as fluffy Spaniels (or perhaps spirited terriers) in an endearing "begging" pose with one paw raised, these statues exude personality and liveliness. They are finished in a creamy white tin-glaze typical of Italian Faience or Majolica ware, perched atop plinths designed to resemble stacks of faux-marbleized books. Their expressive faces and dynamic posture make them instant conversation starters, perfectly suited for a Grand Millennial library, a Hollywood Regency entryway, or a collected English Country home. Standing at an impressive 20.75 inches tall with a substantial footprint, these dogs are far larger than standard mantle figurines. They are scaled to command attention flanking a fireplace hearth, guarding a front door, or anchoring a large buffet sideboard...
