Antique Iranian Silver Amulet – Fine Judaica from Persia
Located in New York, NY
This exceptional antique silver amulet from Iran exemplifies the refined craftsmanship and spiritual depth of Persian Jewish heritage. Shaped in an elegant, lobed diamond form with delicately contoured edges, the amulet is engraved with intricate detail, reflecting both artistic sophistication and religious devotion. At the center, a stylized cartouche is inscribed with Hebrew text, likely invoking divine names or protective blessings — a hallmark of traditional Jewish amulets. Surrounding the central panel, a beautifully flowing engraved border in the form of a pointed arch or mihrab motif lends the piece a sacred architectural presence, often interpreted as a symbolic gateway to divine protection. Further floral and foliate elements are engraved into the design, subtly blending nature with mysticism. Additional Hebrew inscriptions encircle the inner medallion and appear along the edges, each rendered in clean, carefully etched lines. The amulet features four suspension loops — one at each cardinal point — suggesting it may have once been sewn onto clothing, hung in a home, or worn as a protective charm close to the body. Rich in symbolism and cultural meaning, this rare Iranian silver...

French faience Passover plate, JUDAICA 19th century
Located in Tel Aviv - Jaffa, IL
this plate has a creme white background, the center painted with a man holding a lamb before a cityscape, probably a depiction of Jerusalem by someone who never actually visited the city or even see it, under the man there is the word Passover "פסח" the rim with the order of the Seder, and some grape vines between them. Passover, also called Pesach ( Biblical Hebrew: חַג הַפֶּסַח‎, romanized: Ḥag haPesaḥ), is a major Jewish holiday, one of the three pilgrimage festivals, that celebrates the Biblical story of the Israelites' escape from slavery in Egypt. Pesach starts on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Nisan which is considered the first month of the Hebrew year. The Hebrew calendar...

Rare Jewish Purim Drinking Mug, Bohemian, Circa, 1905 Judaica
Located in New York, NY
Rare! Purim Drinking Mug, Bohemian, Circa, 1905 The central fish motif is symbolic of Purim, as this holiday occurs during the Hebrew month of Adar, who zodiacal symbol is fish. Fish also designate abundance, fertility, and good luck. At top in Hebrew, it says "With the entrance of Adar rejoicing is increased" Continuing at bottom "Luck of Adar, (luck of) fish, " and finally "L'Chayım Bridis, " a toast half in Yiddish ("To life, brothers!"). Drinking utensils specifically associated with Purim are very rare. While a few pewter wine flagons and silver wine cups for Purim are scattered across Jewish museum collections around the world, this is the only known vessel made for drinking beer that was decorated for this holiday. This stein was likely a unique commission for a beer- loving Bohemian Jew to be used on this festive holiday that encourages mild inebriation Origin: Bohemian region of the Austro-Hungarian Empire (Czech Republic) Circa, 1905 Artist: "SPJ" Literature: Jewish Antiques...

Antique Judaica Wine/ Water Ceramic Large Jug with Allegorical Images
Located in Doha, QA
This remarkable antique ceramic jug, likely from the late 18th century stands as a testament to symbolic craftsmanship and cultural interweaving. Its white-glazed body, adorned with intricate blue hand-painted motifs, showcases a rich tapestry of imagery: two armored knights flank a central coat of arms crowned by a noble eagle, evoking themes of protection, authority, and divine oversight. A sphinx, emblematic of riddles and ancient wisdom, is also depicted- a nod to the Jewish people’s historical sojourn in Egypt and the enduring significance of that epoch in Jewish memory. A goat as representative of the Devil to make Adam and Eve to sin and take a forbidden fruit in Paradise. Clusters of various fruits embellish the design, symbolizing abundance and the promise of the land. Prominently featured are two Stars of David, affirming a deep connection to Jewish identity and heritage. The jug’s sculpted handle, fashioned as a coiled snake descending toward a human face-possibly representing Adam-recalls the Genesis narrative of the fall, the serpent, and the origins of humanity. This interplay of symbols suggests a narrative arc of struggle, survival, and spiritual endurance, potentially representing the journey of the Jewish people from Eden through exile and beyond. The jug’s substantial capacity-holding up to five liters of liquid-indicates its intended use for wine or water, both integral to daily life and ritual. Its distinctive shape, featuring a wavy, ornamental opening, hints at Mediterranean origins, likely Spain or Italy, where such design elements were prevalent in ceramic art of the period. This stylistic attribute, coupled with the painted date of 1527, adds another layer to its historical context. The year 1527 holds significance in Jewish history. In that year, Hayyim ben David Schwartz, a notable Jewish printer, obtained permission to print Hebrew books...
