Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of beautiful glossy patent leather and features a unique CC closure. This particular bag is the original medium size of the collection and features a long chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Current retail price of the 'old' style medium size is $5900.
The exterior patent leather has rubbing throughout along with some dark spots, and light transfer marks. The strap is creased and has small spots of wear. The hardware has hairline scratches but remains bright and shiny. The interior lining has some light soiling, light rubbing and some wear throughout.
