Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of quilted, glossy patent leather. This particular bag is the New Medium size of the collection and features a long silvertone chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag and a unique plexiglass CC closure. Current retail price is $6200.
The exterior patent leather is clean and beautiful but has minor rubbing on the bottom corners and some creasing on the sides. The shoulder strap has creasing. The hardware has light surface scratches but is bright and shiny overall. The interior is clean throughout.
