Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of beautiful chevre and glossy patent leather and unique resin and metal CC closure. This particular bag is the original medium size of the collection and features a long chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Current retail price of the 'old' style medium size is $5900.
The exterior patent leather is clean and beautiful with a few small scuffs and marks. The chevre leather has rubbing and wear on the corners, base, and along the length of the strap. The hardware remains bright and crisp. There are minor spots under the flap but the interior lining is clean and in excellent condition.
