Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel. "This particular bag is the small size of the collection and features a long antique chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Current retail price is $6400.
The exterior is clean and beautiful but has rubbing to the edges, scuffing to the patent leather, and creasing and scuffing on the sides. The hardware is bright and crisp with hairline scratches. The strap shows creasing. The interior has some scratches under the flap but the main compartment is clean and in excellent condition.
