Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of quilted, glossy patent leather. This particular bag is the New Medium size of the collection and features a long silvertone chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Current retail price is $7300.
The exterior leather is clean and beautiful, however there is rubbing and wear around the edges and creasing throughout. The strap has is light creasing and the hardware has light surface scratches but remains smooth and polished. The interior has a few scuffs and the lining is lightly discolored, but overall the main compartment is clean and in very good condition.
