Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of quilted lambskin leather with braided details along the flap edges. This particular bag is the New Medium size of the collection and features braided leather with gold metal chain-link strap and a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Current retail price is $7300.
The exterior leather remains clean and beautiful but has softened from use and shows creasing and minor scuffing. The bottom corners appear to be re-dyed by the previous owner. The hardware has light scratches but remains shiny. The interior is lightly soiled and the leather trim has light scratches.
