Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of beautiful lambskin leather and Ruthenium CC closure. This particular bag is the original medium size of the collection and features a long chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Current retail price of the 'old' style medium size is $6600.
The exterior leather is clean throughout but has scuffing and shows soiling on the corners. The hardware is shiny and the shoulder pad is lightly creased. The underside of the flap has scuff marks and the main interior has rubbing and white marks. Overall it remains in very good condition.
